Open winamp and go to the options menu. Look for the ‘Preferences’ entry at the bottom.

After the preferences window pops up, in the left hand navigation panel, select “Global Hotkeys”

Once you’ve done this, you will want to turn your hotkeys on. To do this, simply make sure the box next to Enable is checked.

You may read the commands in the box and set them to suit your needs. The two I will focus on are those that you had questioned me about, which appear on the list as follows:
Playback: Previous in playlist
Playback: Next in playlist

To set your keys, choose the command you wish to assign one too. The selected Action and its current assigned hotkey will appear at the bottom. To change this, click in the box labeled “Hotkey” and be sure to press the SET button.
In this case, for the sake of instruction, say you wanted P to go to the next song on your playlist. Type in P, hit set. Likewise, if you want N to g o to the next song, you would select “Playback: Next in playlist” and type N. (And set it)

When you’re done you can hit close.
Have fun with your newly set hotkeys!
